Young People - Jump Rope For Heart

Jump Rope For Heart Scheme

Jump Rope For Heart is the British Heart Foundation's popular sponsored skipping challenge, which raises money both for schools and the nation's heart charity.

It takes its name from the American term for skipping - jump rope.

Last year the money rasied by the Jump Rope For Heart scheme passed the £1 million mark for the first time in twenty years!

Everyone's a winner!
  • Schools get to keep 20% of the money raised and the skipping kit (containing equipment worth over £100).
  • Teachers have an exercise routine that is easy to organise plus a comprehensive teacher's pack. Teachers are also able to attend one of 150 free in-service workshops.
  • Children are encouraged to exercise their hearts and co-ordination skills, and it’s great fun too!
  • The nation’s heart charity - 80% of the money raised goes towards the BHF's life-saving work.
