BHF Think fit! seminars
2007 seminars now completed!
What is a Think fit! seminar?
A series of seminars took place across the UK in 2006 to disseminate the new Think Fit! pack and give you the opportunity to learn more about the resource. The BHF Think fit! pack is a step-by-step guide to introducing physical activity in the workplace. It contains everything you need to initiate change in your work environment and help your employees become more active, healthy and happy.
The 12 seminars gave individuals a chance to familiarise themselves with the pack and explore how to apply it to the workplace setting. Each seminar provided examples of successful workplace activity programmes in specific areas. All delegates who attended received a free copy of the Think Fit! pack.
Evaluation
Feedback has been very positive and encouraging, with the seminars meeting the expectations of 97.6% of the delegates. Nearly 500 delegates from a range of sector types registered to attend the seminars that took place across the country from May - October 2006. The seminars attracted many delegates from the Local Authority/Council sector, although professionals working for the NHS, Private, and Education sectors also attended. Delegates commented that they had gained lots of ideas and knowledge to take away and that they had found the opportunity to network with people in the region valuable. 91.9% of delegates would be interested in further support on workplace health promotion from the BHF.
