Emma Adams

 
 

Emma Adams MSc BSc (Hons)
Research Associate

Emma is a Research Associate in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Loughborough University and she is currently the Project Manager for the national evaluation of the Well@Work project.

Emma’s qualifications include a MSc in Physical Activity and Health from Loughborough University (2004) and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from Nottingham University (1996).  Prior to joining Loughborough University in 2003, Emma worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry as Project Manager for a number of multi-national, multi-centre clinical trials mainly in the field of cardiovascular medicine. 

Emma’s research interests include intervention research in physical activity, with a particular interest in the workplace and primary care settings and the use of pedometers to promote physical activity; clustering of lifestyle risk factors and evaluation of health promotion programmes.

Emma was a gymnast (sports acrobat) for over 12 years, competing at national level; she currently keeps fit by going to the gym and running and plays badminton on a regular basis.  Emma enjoys the outdoors particularly hiking, camping, skiing and snowboarding.
