JOIN NOWWCAA extended early bird registration
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the extended Early Bird Registration Deadline (Monday 30th April 2012) for WCAA 2012 is fast approaching. There is less than a week left to register at the discounted rate. Be part of this unique event that brings together researcher, practitioners and seniors.
If you can’t attend the whole event, the strong one day thematic programme will allow you to be part of the event and follow your particular interests. Help us celebrate the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations by getting research into practice for the benefit of our older population.
Key one day congress themes will focus on active ageing in the prevention and self-management of the conditions associated with old age including:
- Well-being, quality of life, cognitive functioning and dementias
- Falls and fractures, balance and bone health
- Neurological and musculoskeletal conditions
- Cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
The WCAA is the principal professional meeting for those whose work revolves around the physical activity needs of older adults. Delegates at the conference will have the opportunity to interact with a world-wide community of researchers, policy makers and practitioners. The WCAA programme is designed to celebrate the diversity of ageing and in particular, will focus upon the needs of the oldest and frailest population, often excluded from both research and practice.
To register today click here or visit the WCAA website.
The 8th ISAPA World Congress on Active Ageing is co-hosted by the BHF Nation Centre and Glasgow Caledonian University. The Congress will be held in Glasgow on the 13th - 17th of August 2012. For more information on the event, please visit http://www.wcaa2012.com/
