Jump Rope workshops
The BHFNC offer Jump Rope training, resources and school visits to help increase children’s participation in physical activity. If you’re looking for some new ideas for fun activities and would like some training to get you started, these workshops could be for you.
What is Jump Rope?
Jump Rope is basically skipping, but not as you know it! Jump Rope introduces new skipping techniques to suit all different abilities and new ideas to involve the whole class. Before you know it your class could be performing the twister, jumping jax or X-its!
Jump Rope workshops
We offer three different workshop options depending on what you are looking for:
CPD for teachers and support staff
A three-hour practical workshop which will get staff skipping, learning new skills and will help demonstrate how jump rope can work in your setting. There is no pressure to perform and everyone has the opportunity to practise skills and ask questions.
Cost £170
Pupil workshops
Yes we will teach the children too! These workshops can be either a full or half day and will be delivered by an experienced instructor who will involve the whole class in a range of fun and effective activities.
Full day cost £210 (four sessions) Half day cost £115 (two sessions)
One hour CPD workshop for teachers and other staff
This is available as an optional extra when booking a pupil workshop. It provides guidance on planning future lessons, appropriate progressions and additional games and activities.
Cost £40
Please note an additional fee will be made to cover travelling costs. Our workshops are delivered on a not-for-profit basis.

Would you like to use Jump Rope to raise some money for your school and the British Heart Foundation?
Jump Rope For Heart is the British Heart Foundation’s fun educational fundraising programme, designed to help children skip their way to health, while raising money for their schools and helping fund the fight against heart disease. Once registered, schools receive a free skipping resource kit, containing equipment worth over £100. When the children have mastered the basic skipping skills a Jump Off (sponsored skip) is held, which can involve one class or the whole school, teachers and parents!
The total sponsorship money raised is split so that 20% is retained by the school to spend however they wish and 80% is used by the British Heart Foundation to fund pioneering research into the causes and treatment of heart disease, patient care and support.
