Active Club Young Leader guide now available

Active Club Young Leader guide now available

There has never been a better time for getting involved in sport and physical activity. There is an incredible range of major sporting events to look forward to and we want young leaders to be part of it.

The Active Club Young Leader guide is now available. This resource has been produced to help support young leaders in their involvement in sport and physical activity leadership. It is designed to complement the British Heart Foundation’s practical Active Club training and is full of tips and ideas which can help young leaders develop and improve their skills.

Contents include:

  • guidance on planning activity sessions and advice on how to modify activities
  • examples of how to introduce physical activity and health messages
  • a physical activity festival planning template and checklist
  • a sample of practical activity cards.

The guide is available free to anyone who has received Active Club training either as part of Active Clubs or as part of the Flames: Lighting the way programme. Copies can be requested by contacting Tania Outwin-Flinders on t.j.outwin-flinders@lboro.ac.uk  for more information on Active Club or Flames please visit www.activeclubs.org.uk  and www.flameslightingtheway.co.uk
