New toolkit on play

Play Scotland has launched a Toolkit and supporting documents called ‘Getting it Right for Play’, which local authorities and communities can use to develop a local and strategic commitment to play. This will help to remove barriers and encourage and support children to play outdoors. The Toolkit fits very well with the Sustrans Free Range Kids initiative, and also fits with the Scottish Government’s aim of increased play and physical activity and high quality play opportunities in every community.
